UNSPOKEN, Real-Talk of Today’s Blended Family. is a book written to address real challenges happening within families today, especially the blended family. It is written in a raw, unfiltered style that does not shy away from issues “infecting” the modern family. What’s in it for you, you ask? We will present some real-life experiences that are usually discussed negatively and guide you through new ways to look at them and maneuver through them. You will be able to read through each scenario and CHOOSE what may be relatable to you and your situations. The advice given will be actual practices used by couples to master similar conflicts. Thereby laying out a roadmap for you and your partner to follow, thus easing some of the strain that being on different paths can bring on any relationship. Your first step towards success is to understand that the choice you and your partner made to create this “corporate” merger will not follow the same path as if you two were beginning a life with just the two of you. 

Miesha Weaver, is a native of Houston, TX. She is a single mother of twin daughters and a son whom she has worked hard for to give them a childhood better than the one she had growing up. Miesha has a tenured career in the oil and gas industry, she’s a small business owner, sports mom and has a passion for encouraging single mothers of all backgrounds. She details her journey of motherhood not as a disability but rather a super-ability. Single moms are the best at multi-tasking but many times their own dreams, passions, and desires are placed on hold to ensure their children succeed in life. She credits her strength and perseverance to her Lord and personal savior, Jesus Christ for without him she wouldn’t be the woman she is today. Her book encourages single mothers not to lose their identity in this journey of motherhood and to never settle for less in any aspect of their life. 

Sentenced to Live is a vulnerable and transparent book that takes readers on a spiritual journey; it teaches how faith is easy when one’s senses are intact, but when a mother’s greatest fear devastates her existence twice, this remarkable yet unwavering faith is deployed through the desperation to survive. 

As the author poignantly shares her loss of two children in back-to-back pregnancies, and her third child, although a miracle, is a special needs bundle of love who requires the attention of skilled professionals for her life, the reader becomes Alicia S. Jones as Sentenced to Live entangles them with laughter and tears. The reader is then transformed with the powerful discovery that earth has no sorrow that Heaven cannot heal.
